Baclofen may affect your ability to think or to react. Be careful while driving or doing any other activity requiring attention. Do not drink alcohol as it can intensify adverse reaction to baclofen. Avoid using baclofen when you need your muscles to be toned to guarantee secure balance and movement for some actions. Sometimes it can be dangerous to have your muscles toneless. You may experience undesirable effects like seizures or hallucinations if you suddenly stop taking baclofen after a long period of treatment. Ask your doctor how to stop taking baclofen gradually.
How should Lioresal (baclofen) be used?
Follow the prescriptions of your doctor and the instructions which come with the medication carefully. Do not change your dose and do not use baclofen for a longer period than prescribed.

You may take baclofen with or without meal.

Seek emergency medical attention if you experience an allergic reaction to baclofen (trouble breathing; hives; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat). Call your doctor promptly if you develop any of the following serious conditions:- irregular heartbeat;
- confusion, hallucinations; or
- seizure (convulsions).
- trouble sleeping (insomnia);
- headache;
- urinating more often than usual;
- drowsiness, dizziness, weakness, tired feeling; or
- nausea, constipation.
Baclofen may also cause other side effects. Call your doctor if you have any uncommon or painful side effects.
