Anti Narcoleptic
Narcolepsy is a chronic disease of the central nervous system. Main symptom of this disease is Excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS) and it is recorded in 100% of observed patients. There are also other major symptoms:
- cataplexy - loss of muscle tone;
- hypnagogic hallucinations also known as distorted perceptions;
- sleep paralysis, which noticed as inability to talk or move;
There also additional symptoms which include automatic behavior, when patients performs certain actions without conscious awareness and disturbed nocturnal sleep. Any of the symptoms of narcolepsy could exist in any combination and with different severity levels.
Narcolepsy affects people regardless of theirs sex and frequently begins in teenagers or young adults. The first appearing sign of it is an excessive daytime sleepiness, which could be hard to notice since it could develop in stages over the long period of time, sometimes years.
Most widely used drug to treat narcolepsy is Modalert, which has much less side effects especially when talking about mental side effects and lower risk for high blood pressure.
