Apart from alcohol other medicines that can make you feel drowsy or sleepy must not be taken together with this drug. Muscle relaxants, medicine to control seizure, painrelievers, and cold medication are all drugs that must be taken under supervision of a medical professional if you are already taking Anafranil as an anti-depressant. It is believed that grapefruit and its juice can interact with the active ingredient present in this medicine and must be avoided when on this course. For further doubts it is recommended to discuss it with your physician. Tasks such as driving or handling of machinery must be delayed as clomipramine may cause impairment of judgment and alertness. It is recommended to use a sunscreen of SPF15 and above while on this drug as it will make your skin more sensitive to sun rays and can cause sun burns and tanning.
